Well, I must say that is a good point you raise here. I must say that by giving gifts you can realize him that she is the important part of your life as you have to spend your life with him. Or else just try to arrange a dinner for him and take him to a tour. maybe he just wanted to let you free and just observing you that how much you love him and care about him. So just let him know that you like to spend your time with him and want to talk to him some times. I am sure that things will be better soon. and just be honest and frank with him as well as dress up so well and i am sure surprise will work for sure.
